Common concerns or questions asked by moms and parents:

Can I stretch the Superyard out into one long gate?

The Superyard is not intended, and should not be used as a barrier or gate. Can be used indoors or outdoors as an enclosure.

Can I safely put two Superyard together?

Safety is a major concern, so it is NOT recommended to add more than the provided panels. Adding more than the maximum of 8 panels makes the Superyard less stable and likely to tip over.

Note: It is possible to add more extensions but understand the risk of making the Superyard less stable. Final choice is to the parent, but best to stay on the safe side and just use the maximum of 8 panels.

Does the Superyard contain any lead or toxins?

North States claims to have all their products tested for lead and toxins and have passed testing based on U.S. government standards.

The plastic is made of non-toxic polypropylene and pigments that contain no heavy metals (no lead), no PVC, no Phthalates, and no BPA.

What configuration is the sturdiest?

The recommended configuration is as an octagon. May be put in a rectangle configuration but it is NOT recommended since Superyard may be less sturdy.

Tip:            If used as a play area may want to place Superyard on top of a Puzzle Play Mat.

Will the Superyard serve as a babysitter for my young child?

No. The Superyard is not intended to leave unattended child for long periods of time. As a young child grows there is the chance she will attempt to climb, push, or lift the panels.

What are some things a buyer may dislike about the Superyard?

  • First, when adjusting the panels to make an enclosure some force may be needed.
  • Sometimes, it may be difficult to connect the ends together.
  • Can move when pushed. Not recommended for destructive or strong infants (or toddlers).
    • Tip: Child may slide Superyard around if not secured. Can buy interlocking puzzle play mat that is at least 6 feet by 6 feet (if Superyard is in octagon configuration).

What is one tip to keep toddler from climbing the Superyard?

Some toddlers will try to climb out, especially those with a lot of energy. Most will be wearing socks or be barefoot, so put shoes on toddler to keep from climbing.

How do I get the panels apart?

  • To disconnect the two adjoining panels select one of the three joints where a dark gray carpet foot (dark gray hinge top) is facing up.
  • Gently press down on panel 1 while lifting slightly on panel 2.
